New Orleans Work Trip - April 2006

John Symington organized a trip for six of us to go down to New Orleans to help John & Wendy Gerhardt, their family, and their church rebuild in the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina.
We were able to help do electrical, plumbing, framing, wallpapering, and other general handyman-type tasks while we were there. It was also great to visit with the Gerhardt family and try to encourage them.
The work team included John Symington, Jim Lundeen, Steve Mondy, Jeff Olson, Jerry Olson, and Rick Vatsaas.

We had dinner at a nice restaurant with an outdoor balcony. Afterwards we went to the Gerhardts' home where we would stay for the rest of the trip.
